Pocket Fishing

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 28, 2026

Who we are

Pocket Fishing is a pixel-art fishing game for Android and iOS, made by Sim Game Studio (“we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what data the game and our website at simgamestudio.com handle, why, who receives it, and what you can do about it.

You play Pocket Fishing with a Sim Game Studio account. All account and gameplay services, including our game service and trip server, are owned and operated by Sim Game Studio. We do not use third-party account or gameplay servers. We are responsible for how these services handle your data under this policy. AppsFlyer is a separate analytics and install-attribution provider, described below, and handles the data it receives under its own privacy policy.

Your Sim Game Studio account

To play, you sign in with your Sim Game Studio account or create one in the app. We operate the account service, and our Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy govern your account and how we handle its data.

When you create an account or sign in, the app sends your email, your password and, when we ask for one, a two-factor code over HTTPS through our game service to our account service. Both services are operated by Sim Game Studio. We use these details to create your account or sign you in, and for nothing else.

The email and password are also kept on your phone, in its secure storage (the Android Keystore, or the iOS Keychain), and are kept out of device backups. The app uses them to sign you in automatically the next time. Sign out and Delete Account in the app remove them from the phone.

Account registrations made through Pocket Fishing may be associated with the game for attribution and reporting purposes. Our account service may provide registration statistics related to these accounts.

Playing the game

Pocket Fishing is a fishing arcade game. Trips use virtual in-game credits on your Sim Game Studio account. Our game services determine the result of each cast. Your casts are handled by our game service. The app has no in-app purchases or advertisements.

Our account service provides account balance information, including balances not used in Pocket Fishing. The app displays only the virtual game balance and does not forward balance information to other services.

Connecting during a trip

During a trip the app stays connected to the game. Depending on how our game service is set up at the time, that connection goes one of two ways:

  • To our own trip server. The app asks our game service for a short-lived token for the signed-in account. The token names your account id. The app gives the token to the trip server, which also sees the IP address of the connection. Your email and password do not go to it.
  • Through our public game page. The app opens a page hosted on our servers in a hidden in-app browser view, at most once per launch. Our web server then receives what any browser sends, such as your IP address and user agent, and the page keeps a guest id in that view’s storage on your phone. No account data, email or password goes to that page.

Analytics and install attribution

The app uses AppsFlyer to learn which campaign brought an install and to measure and improve the game. Its privacy policy is at appsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy. AppsFlyer collects:

  • the advertising ID, the Google Play install referrer, the device model, the operating-system version, the language and the IP address;
  • the app’s events: the app opening, turning Mute all on or off, and the steps of signing up or in (for example “registration completed” or a sign-in that failed, with its error code), each with a session id, the app version and the device platform.

No event names a cast, a fish or a result. After you sign in, your account id is attached to these events as AppsFlyer’s customer user id, so an install can be matched to the account. Your email and password never go to AppsFlyer. The app does not use the app set ID.

The app has no switch for this in its settings. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in the phone’s settings. On Android, that is Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads, depending on the phone. Other phones have a similar control in their privacy settings. You can also object to this use of your data (see Your choices and rights).

Permissions

The app uses the advertising ID (AD_ID), the network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE), the Google Play install referrer and, on Samsung phones, READ_APP_INFO. All of these come from the AppsFlyer SDK. The app does not ask for your location, contacts, photos or files, camera or microphone, and it never sees payment details.

What stays on your phone

  • the saved sign-in, in secure storage;
  • the trip in progress, including a cast still in play, so a trip survives a restart;
  • the game’s records: whether you have seen the Harbor Manager’s story and the first trip’s hints;
  • your sound settings: volumes and mute all.

Sign out removes the saved sign-in. Delete Account removes the sign-in, the trip in progress and the game’s records; the sound settings stay. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored, subject to the phone’s backup settings. The saved sign-in is never in a backup.

What we do not collect

Pocket Fishing does not collect or use your location, contacts, photos or files, camera or microphone, or any card or payment details; the app has no payments at all. We do not sell personal data, and we do not show ads.

How long data is kept

  • On your phone: until you remove it, as described above.
  • In our account service: we keep your account and its records, such as its balance and the results of your casts, for as long as needed to provide the service, until you request deletion. We may keep the minimum records required for security, fraud prevention or a legal obligation. See Deleting your data.
  • At AppsFlyer: under AppsFlyer’s own policy. We can ask AppsFlyer to erase the attribution and event data linked to your account id and device (see Deleting your data).
  • On our servers: the game service and the trip server handle your requests to carry them out, as described in this policy. The trip server’s token is short-lived.
  • If you write to us: we keep our correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your message, then delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Website logs: for a short period (see This website).

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what data of yours we hold, and give you a copy;
  • correct data that is wrong;
  • delete your data;
  • stop using your data for a purpose based on our legitimate interest, such as analytics and attribution (objection);
  • stop relying on your consent, where we rely on it.

Where your local law gives you further rights, you can use them too. You also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work.

To use a right, write to support@simgamestudio.com from the email address of your Sim Game Studio account and say what you want. We may ask for what we need to confirm that the account is yours. We answer within 30 days. For the data that AppsFlyer holds, you can also contact AppsFlyer directly.

Do not send your password or a two-factor code to us, ever.

Deleting your data

You can delete your Pocket Fishing data on your phone from the app: ⚙ Settings → Delete Account. If you cannot use the app, or you want your analytics and attribution data at AppsFlyer erased, you can ask us by email. The steps, and what each route covers, are on the Delete Account page. Deleting data on your phone does not close your Sim Game Studio account on our servers. To close it and delete its data, send us an email request as described on that page.

Security

The app talks to our account and game servers over HTTPS, and keeps your saved sign-in in your phone’s secure storage, out of backups. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so keep your phone locked and your password private.

Processing in other countries

Data may be processed outside your country by our services and by AppsFlyer. Those countries may have data-protection rules that differ from yours.

Children

Pocket Fishing is for people aged 18 and over only. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If we learn that a child’s data has reached us, we delete it.

This website

simgamestudio.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, time and page) for security, for a short period. The links on these pages to AppsFlyer lead to a site we do not run.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game, our practices or the law change. We post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change needs your consent, or the law requires us to tell you about it, we will do that.
